Step 1: Check the source code

The website seems really plain and there’s nothing much we can do with it. Therefore, we right click, and check out the source code by clicking the “Inspect” option. When starting to do ctfs, it’s better do it with Firefox and hence, the pictures demonstrated here are by using Firefox.

The source code looks like this:

Everything seems fine, but the pink words seems suspicious. Also, notice hint 4 mentioned an image but I don’t see any image in the webpage itself nor in the source code. When I point to the pink words….

Step 2: Click on the image link

It seems like there’s a background image in the body! Press the link to “background.png” and voila! You got your first flag!
